Located near the Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham Film Studio (BFS) includes an 1800sq ft blackout studio space with Kilo Wool Surge acoustic draping and velour black carpet. Additional green screen and white cyc cloth options are also available. It is acoustically sound-treated and has a motorised truss grid which can hang anything as heavy as three tonnes.

Filmmakers and production teams can source all technical needs in-house, including bespoke set builds, film lighting and even catering from our Greek Chef for long shoot days. All set up is a service offered free of charge by the team.

BFS has partnered locally with creative programmes such as the TikTok Creative Academy. Through this partnership, BFS facilitated workshops led by industry experts for young adults, to further their skills and experience. Workshops are led by TV professionals who have worked on the hit Netflix show Bridgerton. BFS are currently in partnership with BOA Stage and Screen Academy exploring opportunities to offer film and TV students similar workshops to build the future of the creative industry in the Midlands.
